Along The Nile is on a roll at present and can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Eqdaam, Tanforan, Red Rudy and Major Magpie. Lynda Ramsden captured this race 12 months ago with Double Vodka and has high hopes again with Along The Nile who has struck form with a vengeance of late. He has had to overcome traffic problems during both of his back-to-back wins at Pontefract and Haydock, resulting in narrow margin victories, and with that in mind, a five-pound rise does not look harsh. With Robert Winston in the saddle, he can prove the best of the Ramsden pair, with Tanforan having more to do than when scooting up at Catterick last time. Eqdaam has been coming to hand slowly but surely, and gave another good showing behind Humble Opinion at Leicester, while Red Rudy finished a close second at the Midlands track on his latest start, but he is not certain to confirm that form with Lucky Red Pepper at the revised weights. Major Magpie came with a storming run at Nottingham last month but was just denied and the fourth home, Boo, has advertised the form handsomely since, so despite the step up in class, he is another to consider. Bon Bon let us down at Beverley and is best watched for the time being, with Along The Nile the pick in a competitive affair.
