Verdict

Time To Study won this last year as a three-year-old and that age group have a decent record in this valuable handicap. Mark Johnston also runs Austrian School, who never seems to run a bad race, while Ben Vrackie makes his handicap debut having contested a Group 3 last time. Reverend Jacobs has won at York and Newmarket this year but ran a shocker when failing to land the odds last time at Pontefract. Titus bolted up over 1m4f at York but he’s been raised 11lb and his stamina will have to be taken on trust over this longer distance. SPEEDO BOY was left toiling in the wake of Here And Now over 2m at York last time but his staying power could be an advantage on this galloping course if, as expected, there is a strong pace. Walton Street also has every chance having run at Newbury having finished third in the Duke Of Edinburgh at Ascot. Just In Time has proved progressive in staying handicaps this year but would need more to land this.
