Verdict

Muthmir showed promise on his debut and was only beaten a neck when favourite at Warwick next time. He isn't short of pace so the drop back to 6f shouldn't be a problem but he may struggle to beat PORT ALFRED. Despite being slowly away, the Godolphin colt just failed to catch Oasis Spirit at Windsor on debut and will have learned plenty from that run. Hanalei Bay has been off the track for a while and races on Turf for the first time but the mare Lulu The Zulu ran well behind Cape Of Hope here last month while a market move for either of the newcomers, Wishing Gate and Pilates, would be interesting.
