Barney McGrew and Victoire De Lyphar are both well treated at present but neither has shown a great deal so far this year and are better over shorter trips. Ptolemy has claims on his victory at Thirsk two runs ago and this is his best trip while the three-year-olds Gold Beau and Darkside wouldn't need to find much to get involved. Who's Shirl had ILLUSTRIOUS PRINCE back in third when scoring over 6f at Pontefract last month but the latter is 6lb better off now and his yard could hardly be in better form. He can turn the tables and land this with Imperator Augustus arguably best of the rest.
