TANOURA, Perfect Truth and Shemima form our short-list with Clowance arguably the most interesting of the home team. John Oxx's filly is trying this trip for the first time but the way that she stayed on to get the better of Leocorno in the Yorkshire Oaks suggests that it won't be a problem. Her record is one of steady progression and she deserves to take her chance at this level. Ebor winner Sesenta is a fascinating runner and shouldn't be underestimated but this is a very different test and a stronger challenge may be posed by Perfect Truth. She, too, is stepped up in trip and her breeding indicates that it will be well within her scope. She failed to run her race in the Oaks at Epsom but was back to form at Cork and will appreciate this better surface. Clowance was last seen finishing fourth in the Oaks but that was over a year ago so she has plenty of questions to answer and stronger, recent form claims are held by Shemima who is the highest rated in the field. Her debut was the only time that she has finished out of the frame in ten starts and she has form at this trip in comparable company and rates a danger to all. Sevenna delivered on her promise at Goodwood but it remains to be seen whether she can build on that whilst the admirable Victoria Montoya looks to lack a little class with Cassique Lady also likely to be found out at this level. Nonetheless, they are players in an intriguing contest which can go to Tanoura.
