A pretty weak looking maiden where we'd love to have a look at the market before selecting but without that privilege we'll take a chance with newcomer Top Tribute. Tom Tate's gelding is related to winners over this trip at three. His sire Acclamation went well on debut when runner up and his dam's sire was a debut scorer, so there is hope that he might well take to the racecourse first time, and with those that have had a run or more not looking that formidable we'll chance him. Billy Bowmore needs to show a fair amount of improvement, and a better proposition looks to be La Vie En Rose, who comes from a yard in terrific form and may do better now back out of handicap company. Royal Encore has not been beaten too far in two maidens to date and will be on most people's short list on ground she handles well. She is very much respected of course, but we'll chance Top Tribute here.
