Verdict
This looks the weaker of the two divisions of the maiden and Aegean Magic is the TEAMtalk selection to gain a deserved victory. Richard Hannon's filly has shown a consistent level of form to finish runner-up in her last three starts in similar company and showed last time that she will handle these testing conditions. The daughter of Wolfhound has plenty of stamina on the dam side of her pedigree so should take plenty of beating if reproducing the same level of form. Mark Johnston saddles two interesting newcomers East Riding and Fille de Roi but face a stiffish task first time out on bottomless ground. Nonetheless, both are respected and, along with fellow debutant Sister Sophia, the market should provide an invaluable guide. Mynd appears to be progressing along the right lines and rates a danger along with the promising Zak Facta but Maxilla showed little on her debut and needs to improve significantly and Move It disappointed last time.
