Testing conditions on the final day of the current Flat season will place the emphasis very much on stamina and the ability to last home will be at a premium in this competitive opener. Incline has proved a revelation given the opportunity to race in similar conditions and is on to the hat-trick after convincing wins at Yarmouth and Newmarket of late but has gone up a further 9lb for his latest success which may be enough to halt the sequence. Topton is an infrequent winner and took advantage of a fair mark last time at Newmarket (now 5lb higher) but, along with the well treated and proven mudlover Lots Of Love (blinkers on for first time), may suffer from a high draw. Quito has been in good form on both all-weather and turf of late but is far from certain to stay in this ground. Similar comments apply to Danielle's Lad, who has been raised 9lb for his recent Nottingham victory, while Law Breaker is also better over shorter so a tentative TEAMtalk vote goes to Carlton. John Quinn's charge was a staying-on third over this trip at Catterick earlier in the week and is able to race off a 2lb lower mark so should go well, with conditions to suit, from a favourable low draw.
