In depth
Verdict
An interesting maiden with plenty of unexposed and well bred types in opposition but the ability to handle the conditions will prove crucial. Marinas Charm has shaped as though the extra furlong will suit after staying on to be placed on both starts over the minimum trip. Mark Johnston's filly has never raced on ground this testing but is out of a mare who revelled in the mud so is the TEAMtalk choice from a favourable low draw. Titinius, who showed plenty of promise when fourth over this trip on his debut in a useful maiden at Newbury last month, is entitled to improve and rates a danger along while Calusa Lady and Princess Erica are progressing with experience and also enter calculations. Quiet Storm ran encouragingly on her debut but returns from a two-month break so is best watched while the market should provide clues about newcomers such as Excalinor and Highly Liquid.
