A bigger field than usual for this Group 3. Three-year-olds have recorded more victories than older fillies but the seniors have been fighting back in recent years and Jubiloso would have a cracking chance on last year’s third in the Coronation Stakes, though she was very disappointing back at Royal Ascot on her only run so far this season. ALTHIQA has placed in this grade at Goodwood and Deauville since winning a Listed race in France in July. She appears to have the beating of Invitational, Cloak Of Spirits and Stormy Girl on the form book and won’t be far away if William Buick can keep her covered up. Listed winner Mubtasimah probably warrants a try at this level but further improvement will be required.
