Gumdrop, from last year’s winning stable, was a comfortable winner over 6f at Chester on his handicap debut he’s not certain to enjoy this extra furlong on pedigree. Ataser beat MAYAAS a length-and-a-quarter over this trip at York but got first run on the runner-up, who was slow into stride. William Haggas’ colt is 3lb better off and may have more scope so can reverse placings.
