Verdict

Yalta ran poorly against older sprinters in the Nunthorpe last time but had beaten stablemate and subsequent Group 3 winner The Last Lion to win the Molecomb over 5f at Goodwood previously. He looks to have leading claims but TIS MARVELLOUS also returns to a shorter trip having failed to keep tabs on the exceptional Lady Aurelia in the Prix Morny last time. Clive Cox’ sprinter had won a Group 2 contest in France before that and should make a bold bid today. Windsor Castle winner Ardad and Norfolk Stakes victor Prince Of Lir have both struggled subsequently while though the Hannon yard has a terrific recent record in this, Legendary Lunch and Grizzel face tough tasks. Group 3 winner Afandem is still improving and Hit The Bid won at the same level in Ireland last month returning a 50/1 winner after a successful wind operation.
