STANHOPE has been placed over 6f in all four starts to date, including a handicap at Yarmouth last time. Charlie Bennett’s allowance helps his cause back at this level and he has plenty to spare on these terms with Big Lachie. The latter looks pretty exposed now but Eskimo Bay and Luxford are likely improvers with the former preferred having made his debut at Ascot last week. Of the newcomers, Commander Cole cost 150,000gns and the Godolphin colt makes more appeal than Dagonet and Mississippi Miss.
