Verdict

CADEAUX PEARL can improve and land this at the main expense of Hammer Home and Top Care. Richard Hannon's Acclamation colt was slowly into stride on his Goodwood debut but shaped with some promise, eventually filling fifth sport behind Neebras. He should have learnt plenty from that and with the yard's juveniles still firing he should go close. The dangers are numerous and include the newcomer Georges Lane who is related to plenty of winners and his sales price increased greatly as a two-year-old. Stablemate Hal Of A Lover is not discounted but is bred for further, so a bigger threat could be Hammer Home who made $145,000 as a foal and his trainer can ready a newcomer. Top Care was well-fancied for his Carlisle debut but was too keen and ended up well beaten. However there was promise in his effort and with the yard in great form a better showing is expected under stable jockey Joe Fanning. Bearheart is not ignored given his dam was a Listed winner at two, however the nomination is given to Cadeaux Pearl.
