This looks a wide open two-year-old maiden, with a number of well bred newcomers, and it¿s a race to watch rather than bet on. The market will be significant, but our tentative trio for the shortlist are Nawaqees, Dream Theme and Final Verse. Nawaqees does have the benefit of experience, and hailing from the John Dunlop camp has to be respected. He ran quite promisingly when finishing seventh on his debut at Newmarket, and can be expected to have learnt a lot. However, it¿s too early to say how strong that form is and it may pay to look elsewhere for the winner. Barry Hills introduces an interesting newcomer here in Dream Theme. The stable has done well with its two-year-olds this year and he is likely to have been well prepared for his bow. This Khaled Abdulla owned colt is a son of Distant Music and should therefore have enough pace to play a part over this trip of six furlongs. The vote however, goes to Final Verse, trained by Sir Michael Stoute. The stable has had its fair share of winners recently and is by Mark of Esteem. The trainer likes to introduce his better two-year-olds here and Final Verse is the selection.
