Mango Mischief can land the spoils for the second year running, with the likes of Mineko, Asawer and Royal Alchemist expected to give her most to do. Mango Mischief looks to have been laid out for a repeat of last year's success in this contest, having had only four outings this year. The last of those was at Newmarket in September when she was the only one to make a race of it with Ouija Board no less. She was going as well as the winner two furlongs out but obviously did not stay on her first try over 12 furlongs, and she went into plenty of notebooks afterwards. Back over her best trip and proven on the ground, John Dunlop's filly will take all the beating, even though she lines up on a higher mark than 12 months ago. Mineko came good at Nottingham last time, but it is asking a lot to make a successful leap to Listed class. Nevertheless, Geoff Wragg must have faith in her to put her in this line-up, so her chance is respected. Asawer finished ahead of Mango Mischief at Newmarket but will find it hard to maintain the form, especially on this ground, but should at least hold Royal Alchemist on latest running. They all in turn have it to do to stop Mango Mischief from grabbing the spoils again though and she is the pick.
