In depth

Verdict

Refinement showed high-class form in bumpers and has successfully made the switch to hurdling with wins at Uttoxeter and Towcester; he should be too good for his rivals here of who Sea The Light and Pirate Flagship look to be the pick. The selection does have to give weight away but is not harshly penalised and should be more than capable of giving away 3lbs. Paradise Bay should ability on his Ludlow debut in a bumper and could be of interest, while Missyl was not disgraced on his recent course and distance debut over timber. Sea The Light has shown consistent form in bumpers, while Pirate Flagship is probably better than he has shown so far but Refinement should be too classy and gets the vote.
