Michael Jarvis has a 21% strike-rate at the course with his three-year-old's and he could saddle a one-two here with TESSLAM taken to see off stablemate City Ground; Lady Anthracite looks the pick of the rest. A son of Singspiel, the selection comes here on the back of five defeats, three of which have come as favourite. This track should suit him more than at Catterick last time out however and in a weak maiden for the track he should win. City Ground has a nice miling pedigree so looks to be starting off at about the right trip, Happy The Man represents a yard whose juvenile newcomers have been in good nick so there is no reason why this three-year-old shouldn't run ok, whilst Rockie Bright and Elle Est will be handicapped after this run and of more interest then, although the former is bred to improve for this trip and ground. Lady Anthracite is related to plenty of winners, although the majority of her family have been sprinters so this trip certainly looks far enough first time out. This looks a(nother) grand opportunity for the 78-rated Tesslam to get off the mark. Nic Doggett
