Only the seven runners have been declared to face the starter but is still looks a decent contest with the consistent trio of Polly Plunkett, Honorine and Little Venice all having claims but the vote goes to Aljazeera, who was unlucky to come up against a well handicapped rival in Contractor last time. Ben Hanbury's filly has yet to win a race this term but today could be her turn judged by recent efforts. A close up fourth behind the in-form Pantone at Newmarket in May was followed by that second to Contractor last month and, although raised 3lbs since then, she still looks ahead of the handicapper. Mark Brisbourne¿s Polly Plunkett has been a model of consistency this season and is difficult to rule out entirely but she may be a shade high in the weights now. A similar comment applies to Chris Wall's recent Newmarket scorer Little Venice and a bigger danger to the selection may come from Honorine, who is less exposed than most of these. Brazilian Terrace looks the best of the remainder but Aljazeera should be tough to beat if repeating her latest effort and is taken to defy top weight.
