With Tom Dascombe's juveniles in sparkling form this season, we take a son of Bahamian Bounty in BAHAMIAN SUN to appreciate the give underfoot and collect this prize, with Ella Grace and Rio Caribe the others to note. By Captain Rio, it was no surprise to see Rio Caribe run his best race to date at this track two outings ago on an easy surface. He was only just edged out of it that day, and he looks to go close here. Ella Grace hails from the bang in form Richard Fahey yard, and although jockey bookings suggest this is the stable second string, she was fourth in a decent maiden at Nottingham on debut and can improve for that experience. She is a half-sister to three winners and can play a part. Bahamian Bounty makes his debut here, and as his sire produces progeny that act well on soft ground, he looks sure to go well. His trainer knows the time of day with juveniles and the Lambourn runner is a sporting selection in a race where there is little solid form to work with. Bahamian Sun can make a winning debut.
