TROOP COMMANDER went up a massive 11lb for a convincing victory at Killarney then just failed to match strides with Franklin Street on soft ground at Listowel. Kevin Prendergast has booked an inexperienced apprentice whose 10lb claim could make all the difference. Stable companions Lampetia and Mythologic started joint favourites for one of these at Naas and though the former did best in third the latter didn't get the best of runs and can reverse the form. Mere Catherine couldn't handle heavy ground at Roscommon but Marchons Ensemble got no sort of run at Cork and can do better. Princess Mayson has run a bit better than her form figures suggest the last twice and could go well from the bottom of the weights.
