chased leader, improved to lead halfway, ridden and kept on well from over 1f out, stayed on strongly to go clear final furlong
held up in rear, closer in 3rd over 2f out, ridden 1 1/2f out, no extra over 1f out, weakened final furlong
led, ridden and headed halfway, no extra in 4th over 2f out, kept on one pace, 3rd close home
chased leader, 2nd halfway, ridden and no impression leader over 1f out, kept on same pace final furlong
A very disappointing turnout numerically with Aidan O'Brien having half the entries but it's interesting just the same. SAMUEL MORSE will be very difficult to beat as he was only just touched off by Formosina in the Group 2 Railway Stakes here last month. That looks better than Rudolf Valentino's demolition of a field of maidens at Naas but Dunboyne Express is obviously very well regarded as he was well supported on his debut at Leopardstown where he landed the spoils from subsequent winner Master Of Hounds. Jim Bolger introduces Glor Na Mara, whose numerous big race entries suggest a bright future.
