Verdict

Hugo Palmer won this a year ago with Covert Love and he runs Architecture and We Are Ninety this time. The latter did best of the pair when unplaced in the Ribblesdale though the former's second to Minding in the Oaks at Epsom was the better effort and she may do best of the duo here. However, Royal Ascot winner EVEN SONG was so impressive when stepping up to the trip for the first time that it's very difficult to see her being beaten. A half-sister to St Leger winner Simple Verse, she's only had four runs and the way she powered home in that Group 2 suggests her first victory at the highest level looks very likely. Ajman Princess came out of maiden company to run a superb race in the Ribblesdale and like the selection is open to further improvement though there doesn't appear any obvious reason for a form reversal. Pretty Perfect also showed massive improvement when stepped up to this trip in a Cork Group 3 last time, while Turret Rocks, who had run well behind Minding in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, wasn't at her best at Epsom.
