Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott looks to have found an ideal opportunity for MARSHA (NAP) to get back to winning ways. The Prix de l'Abbaye winner again beat the Chantilly runner-up Washington DC when returning at Newmarket and though unable to catch the brilliant Lady Aurelia in the King's Stand Stakes she won't find anything as speedy in this. Hit The Bid had Alphabet close behind when landing a Listed contest at Cork and should have no problems confirming the form on better terms. He then just failed to concede a stone to Tithonus in a premier handicap here, with Spirit Quartz behind and held, so deserves a crack at this grade. Yorkshire raider Caspian Prince has won 16 times though is Listed class at best.
