Verdict

Brother Bear completed an early season double when landing a Listed contest here and started favourite for the Coventry Stakes where he finished a very close fourth after showing good pace throughout. He'll take some catching here though THEOBALD made such a big impression when attracting strong support on his debut at Leopardstown that he can remain unbeaten. Actress wasn't beaten far in the Albany Stakes so it was no surprise that she started favourite for a Listed contest at Tipperary but she couldn't get past Sirici and was beaten a neck. Commander Grigio easily landed a maiden here but couldn't take the step-up to Group 2 company on a return visit and the remaining pair will need to find another gear.
