No four year old has won this which makes things difficult to Sam Red, a very easy maiden winner on heavy ground at Navan before a fine effort in a Fairyhouse Grade 3. The other from the younger brigade, Officieux, has struggled since landing his maiden in January and though Kerrieonvic looked a nice prospect when slamming a big field on this track that was back in April of last year. He hails from a yard that can get them ready and should be noted in the market but it is the current form of DAMUT that sets the bar high as he has completed a hat-trick of handicap victories and his latest at Clonmel has been given a boost by the runner up. Coolmill won this in 2013 and gained another victory over the track and trip in August so could repay each way support.
