Thurles bumper winner Sir Argus hasn't run since May and makes his hurdling debut but it will be a surprise if he's not involved in the finish though he carries a penalty as does Santonito. The latter has a race-fitness advantage having finished a very good fourth behind subsequent Grade 1 winner Marine Nationale at Punchestown then just failing to make all in a huge field over this trip at Naas. The remainder look as though they are playing for a place.
