Verdict

Arclight, a winner on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, will know what’s required. Victory jumped poorly on hurdling debut here but still finished ahead of stablemate Forward Flight. Ardbraccan fell at the first at Catterick so also has a bit to prove. SAMUEL SPADE won over 1m2f at Haydock in August when trained by David O’Meara. Ben Pauling’s yard is bang in form and the Myboycharlie gelding might thrive over timber. Play By The Rules looks best of the rest.
