There was plenty to like about the way LONDINIUM (NAP) ran on his return to action at Ripon last week and, with a handy draw, he will take some stopping here. Je Suis Charlie had shaped with promise when second at Doncaster early in the month but ran poorly at Brighton last time and has something to prove now. Similar comments apply to Rock N Rolla, who was well beaten at Haydock, while Critical Thinking hasn’t shown much so far as a three-year-old and is more exposed than most of his rivals. But Jamacho has improved for stepping up in trip and has each-way prospects, as has Contango, who stayed on nicely to win a Leicester maiden.

Contango (IRE) 7-1 (9-5) In touch, headway over 3f out, every chance from over 2f out, stayed on strongly to lead well inside final furlong, driven out, won at Leicester 1m mdn stks (5) gs in Jun beating Unit of Assessment (9-5) by 1l, 9 ran.
