Verdict

SEEK N' DESTROY is given the narrow vote to land the finale ahead of Deadly Encounter and Cheviot. Barry Hills is always feared with his runners at Chester and Seek N' Destroy comes into the race having won two of his last four races. He has as a consequence risen in the ratings, but he is still only lightly raced and is open to further improvement. Deadly Encounter will pose as the biggest danger to the selection. He is 8lbs higher in the weights for his recent win at Haydock. He was well beaten off a similar mark at Ripon last year but with another year on his back he could well have improved so is worth respecting. Cheviot broke his maiden tag as a two-year-old last season and has run well on both starts to date this year. He runs off the same mark as he did when sporting cheek pieces for the first time at Salisbury where he was a staying on third of nine. He does however have a negative draw to overcome which will make life tough for him around this tight track. Seek N' Destroy is trained by Mr Chester himself Barry Hills and is taken to add to his course winning tally.
