In depth

Verdict

We will spin the coin here with Ionian Spring and Danelor, with the vote going to the former. Ionian Spring's fourth here behind Tiger Tiger, Divine Gift and Blue Monday on his latest start rates as decent handicap form and, with him now having dropped to a winning mark, his chance looks a leading one. Danelor is a very solid 80-plus handicapper on his day and, racing from a mark of 84 today, things might pan out nicely for this potential front-runner. Ben Hur and Looks The Business - who has only won over hurdles - are closely weighted on their recent Brighton runs, although the former, the only course and distance winner in the line-up, can be expected to run well at this venue. Finally, Terminate has something to prove for our money, and York Cliff has proven better on the all-weather of late, which, in turn, returns us to the selection, which is Ionian Spring.
