In depth

Verdict

It is very hard to see beyond Craigstown in this judging by his effort at Newbury, where he easily disposed of a field of average handicappers in impressive style. He has steadily progressed after being labelled moderate by many after some laboured performances in maidens but he travelled well at Newbury and won in the style of a horse that is going forward. Master Spy cut out the early running last time but looked rather one paced when asked to quicken. Just Rob looked to have found the ground at Haydock too deep at Haydock last time, taking a long time to pick up those in front. Mont Cervin is potentially well handicapped judging by how those behind him at Folkestone have progressed. Should his rider be able to dictate matters from the front he could prove to be the biggest danger to the selection which is Craigstown.
