A sprint handicap for which the draw is likely to prove all important. David Barker's Grudge is given the vote to get off the mark for the first time in his career. Runner-up over the minimum trip on his last two starts at Redcar and Thirsk where he raced from out of the handicap last time, posting a performance which if repeated would see him go very close here. Kings College Boy is a course winner whos front running style is suited to the track and a low draw is also beneficial. Dalarossie is 5lb higher for a Ripon success achieved last time, showing good speed throughout. His draw is the negative and for that reason we will pass him over. Kalligal struggled to get home on rain softened ground at Sandown last time and although a maiden, the best of her form is on a lively surface.
