A very tricky apprentice handicap to get the card underway and Eternal Legacy is the selection to win it at the main expense of Zennerman, Leptis Magna and Unlimited, who could well reward those seeking some each way value. The selection returns here after 292 days off the track and has failed to score since breaking his maiden tag at Newcastle last season but returns here on a reasonable mark and is a proven front runner with an all important rail side draw. Zennerman is very attractively weighted on his best form and was noted staying on well at Thirsk over one mile last time. His recent efforts leave him with a big chance while Leptis Magna, who won a selling handicap on his penultimate start confirmed his well-being with a second last time. Unlimited is an exposed sort but the likely fast pace that should materialise can play to his strengths. Cherry Cat has the benefit of a capable apprentice on board and could be dangerous off his current mark but will need the slips at the business end while Tanforan appeared to find the step back to seven furlongs last time on the sharp side. Eternal Legacy is the pick to land the opener.
