Gillipops is nominated ahead of Yankee George and Twilight Avenger. The official figures do put Yankee George way ahead of this field but he has been given a horror of a draw and this makes him incredibly vulnerable as a betting proposition. We side with Gillipops. A speedy type, she won well at Lingfield Park two runs ago and can be forgiven her last effort as the saddle slipped. More importantly, she is beautifully housed in stall three. Twilight Avenger has plenty of early pace. Paul Dixon has had many winners round the Roodeye so the market is watched. Impeccable Guest is bred to appreciate further while Peter Island has place prospects although would need a career best to trouble the judge. The draw will have more than just a brief infulence on this race and for this reason Gillipops is nominated accordingly.
