    Verdict

LUCKY DEAL didn't really get stuck into his chosen appointment at Royal Ascot when coming home in mid-division behind stablemate Baghdad but remains a handicapper of interest and can regain the winning thread. Previous form reads well in the context of this race and he's preferred to King Lud and Quantatmental. King Lud is earning regular place money but continues to find one too good whilst Quantatmental looked progressive until blowing out at Newcastle last time. That was not his running and he could well bounce back around a track loved by connections. Neither Midnight Wilde, third in Down Royal latest, nor the steadily improving Beer With The Boys, are without a chance in a tight contest.
