Verdict

It was faster going when Bellatrixsa won this last year though she’s still preferred to stablemate Christopher Wood. Last month’s Doncaster winner Justus makes more appeal than Malakahna of his yard’s four runners but the progressive NOVEL LEGEND gets the vote. The latter is due to be raised by more than today’s 3lb penalty having landed a double with last month’s victory over 2m at Newbury and can confirm running with Hydroplane. The Predictor went close at Ripon when ahead of both Land Of Winter and It's Good To Laugh while the Irish mare Anna Bunina returns to the level with a shout and Whimsy could go well over this longer trip.
