A typically competitive handicap at this track in which few can be ignored. Mark Johnston has strong claims through last month's C&D winner Jutland and Tartan Gunna, who is back on a winning mark, while Mirrored was a fair fifth at Redcar after winning at Doncaster. Sam Sharp won on his reappearance at Haydock while Light From Mars landed the Spring Cup at Newbury in April and owner Marwan Koukash likes nothing better than to have a winner on the Roodeye. Godolphin's Lost In The Moment and Opera Gal, runner-up at Doncaster eight days ago, are others to consider but ABSINTHE's run at Kempton earlier this month will have blown away a few cobwebs and Walter Swinburn's gelding, very progressive last summer, could be worth a speculative wager here with John Fahy taking off a valuable 3lb.
