In depth

Verdict

Markington has the ability to win a maiden but this looks too tough for him and preference is for Mobaasher, who gets the vote over Numeric. The last mentioned ran with credit on his return and is probably worth another chance over this trip for his in-form yard. Alan Bailey's runners here are often worth a second look but his representative Cresta Gold would need to improve on all known form to trouble the judge. Michael Jarvis has his string in good form so Zero has to be respected and is probably better than he showed first time out but is hard to back on that evidence and a safer bet looks to be Mobaasher. Sir Michael Stoute's colt showed plenty of promise on his Leicester debut and with improvement to come for the run he looks the one to be on.
