Empress Jain could not have been more impressive when landing a handicap over this trip at Yarmouth last time and, while a 15lb higher mark leaves her with more to do, a draw in stall one could not be better and she is taken to follow up at the main expense of Guto and Triskaidekaphobia. The last mentioned is a pacey individual and would have claims if fit enough for his reappearance. City For Conquest has a nice racing weight but needs to improve on recent evidence and of more interest may be Scooby Dude, who has run to a decent level of form in his last two starts and is entitled to be thereabouts again. Brandywell Boy should improve for his reappearance run and is another to consider along with Kevin Ryan's in-form Guto, who is closely matched with Scooby Dude on Thirsk running but is less exposed. All things considered though Empress Jain has plenty in her favour and is taken to make the most of her draw in stall one.
