PRELUDE is put forward to land the finale at the main expense of Andorn and Drawn Gold. Trainer Mark Brisbourne does well with his runners here and the selection should be spot on for this after a couple of runs this season. She ran well when third behind Going For Gold at Haydock last time and from the plum draw she can get her head in front. Andorn was a decent third behind Bijou Dan at Catterick earlier in the month and he has a fair strike-rate on the turf. He has a decent draw but some of his recent form has not worked out all that well and we are happy to take him on. Drawn Gold has gone well here in the past and he has to be respected, although he is arguably at his best with plenty of cut in the ground. Thorny Mandate recorded one of his two turf successes over this course and distance and he makes some each-way appeal, but in an open finale the nomination goes to his stablemate Prelude.
