Miss Kool Kat has the pick of the draw having been berthed in stall one but Kevin Ryan's filly might not be good enough to capitalize and preference is for Captain Marvelous, who gets the vote ahead of Kyle. The last mentioned showed plenty of promise on his debut at Bath earlier this month and has to be respected given the form of Richard Hannon's runners. Luscivious was not beaten far on his debut at Redcar and should come on for the run, while Baileys Hilight stepped up on his debut effort and would not be far away if finding similar improvement again. Neither of two David Nicholls-trained runners Mandurah nor Northern Fling look good enough from their draws and the vote goes to Captain Marvelous, who lost no caste in defeat behind Excellent Art on his Newmarket debut and has solid claims from a decent draw.
