    Verdict

SHINE’S AMBITION belied odds of 25/1 when beaten only a head at Newcastle on his debut. He’s taken to get the better of the penalised Secret Mistral and go one better. The latter finished second carrying a penalty at Haydock last time while Metahorse was a well beaten runner-up when starting favourite at Newmarket having finished in front of Pink Stripes when placed over track and trip earlier. Boom Boom Pow has gone close in both starts so far and Felix Natalis represents last year’s winning trainer.
