        Verdict

        My Little Queens went close in the Cumberland Plate at Carlisle with both El Picador and Strawman behind but races over this extra furlong for the first time. FORZA ORTA has been thereabouts in tough handicaps, including a second over track and trip to the progressive Gaassee, so Kevin Ryan’s charge gets the vote. Southern Voyage showed good progress last term but makes a belated seasonal reappearance so Fairmac may prove best of the remainder sporting cheekpieces for the first time.
