All things considered, Plateau might provide the answer here, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Treasure Cay and Whinhill House. Treasure Cay remains competitive from his current mark and has fared well with the draw. However, Plateau finished just ahead of him at Epsom on Saturday after being hampered and, being similarly well-drawn, he is granted plenty of respect from an in-form yard. Green Manalishi is well weighted on his best form of last summer, while Whinhill House comes into this race in very good form, although they are both poorly drawn. Foley Millennium has done connections proud but has a career-high mark to defy in winning. Stablemate Handsome Cross is running consistently, but does not often get his head in front. Talcen Gwyn has run well here before but is drawn a little wide, while Time N Time Again is close to the mark from which he has won over course and distance, but his draw isn't good and that was back in August 2003. Finally, Sapphire Dream is tried in cheekpieces now after some reasonable efforts, and Dematraf is open to plenty of improvement as she is lightly-raced, but she will be doing well to score from stall 14. All in all, then, the vote stays with Plateau.
