In depth

Verdict

The fast-starting El Astronaute, third in the Prix de l’Abbaye in 2019, won a Listed race on his reappearance last season and will be expected to bounce out of the stalls and make all in this. But KING’S LYNN may have a slight fitness advantage and he made a very encouraging comeback at Newbury when only a length behind Came From The Dark, who just came up short in the Group 3 Palace House at Newmarket last week. Ainsdale is also interesting back over the minimum trip while Brian The Snail is a useful handicapper but does have a bit to find at the weights. The remaining trio have a mountain to climb.
