St Nicholas Abbey won the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy as a two-year-old but was an expensive failure in last year's 2000 Guineas and failed to justify a very short price on his reappearance this year at the Curragh. He may have needed that but the jury is definitely out on Aidan O'Brien's charge now. Allied Powers stayed on nicely when fourth to Indian Days on his reappearance at Newbury and should strip fitter here but Fanditha may find this company too hot and Chink Of Light, third in last year's Chester Vase, struggled after and has been off the track for a while. HARRIS TWEED also makes his seasonal debut but won first-time out last year and was still improving in the autumn. This trip is ideal and he should take all the beating.
