Verdict

Glen's Diamond is still improving but may not take his chance here if the ground remains on the fast side of good. The Paddyman was a smart two-year-old but takes a big step up in distance after finishing fourth in the European Free Handicap over 7f at Newmarket, though his pedigree suggests he should stay. Laajooj made a winning reappearance in a maiden at Newbury and has several big-race entries, but Tinkertown had his limitations exposed at Lingfield last time and this is a big ask for newcomer Tlaad. MAQARAAT couldn't quite get to Ocean War at Newmarket last month but the winner franked the form in a Listed race at the same track last week and Barry Hills' grey may well find the improvement needed to land this.
