Verdict
This is a race that will throw up plenty of future winners and HEADLINE ACT can score with Fortuni and Kings Destiny also heading into the race with solid formbook shouts. John Gosden's charge holds a Derby entry and while that is a little hopeful, there is enough in the pedigree to suggest that he can make his mark over this trip. Fortuni waltzed away with a race at Lingfield. That was a good effort to strike out from the front as he did on that occasion. Kings Destiny is a solid looking individual who has evidently taken time to come to hand. He seemed to appreciate the step up in trip at Leicester but whether he can maintain form with our selection is open to question. Kimberly Downs is a likely front runner if racecourse evidence is to be believed. Jedi, who is a half-brother to High Calypso ran better than his finishing position suggests at Sandown so he should be watched in the market accordingly. Digger Derek did not go a yard on fast ground on reappearance and is presumably capable of much better. Quai d'Orsay won his maiden at Hamilton as a juvenile but was outclassed subsequently in the Autumn Stakes. Having considered the alternatives, Headline Act looks the likely victor.
