A race complicated by the fancied runners in high draws so ARCHERS ROAD is only a tentative vote at the expense of Tom Folan and Star Rover. The colt ran a very fair second at Ascot recently and while the draw of seven is hardly helpful, he has had four starts so there should be less likelihood of him trapping out slowly. Tom Folan has shown glimmers of ability. She would need to reverse form with Fratellino on their Beverley meeting but met with significant trouble in running on that occasion. Star Rover has made all to win three contests on the spin. It will be a smart performance to carry all those winners penalties at this level. Mijas Player was second in a decent looking maiden at Newmarket and as she is from an untried sire, she may be overlooked in the betting. Kings Of Leo is a very early foal and she had obviously shown something on the gallops to warrant her place at the head of the market at Windsor. My Mandy did little wrong at Haydock but this is a further hike up in grade. Archers Road is our selection having considered the other variables.
